ClickBank Affiliate Questions and Answers

Inexperienced marketers may feel overwhelmed trying to figure out how ClickBank actually works.

ClickBank is a relatively easy idea to grasp, but mastering it and making it work for you will take time and effort.

Marketers (vendors) can sell their products on ClickBank, and affiliates can promote them and earn a commission by doing so.

This article is about becoming an affiliate.

To become a vendor, you need to have your own product or service to sell.

How do I get my affiliate link to promote?

Once you’ve signed up, it’s pretty easy to get your affiliate link.

After signing in to ClickBank, go to the Affiliate Marketplace.

Then, click on the “Promote” tab of any product you want to promote.

A hoplink generator will pop up, allowing you to create your affiliate link with the click of a button.

Keep in mind that hops and sales are not the same thing.

If people are clicking on your links, you may have a lot of hops when you look at your statistics.

The hops show what the potential customers you’re sending are doing.

It’s not a sale.

You’ll see a dollar amount when you do get a sale.

clickbank product stats

What are the ClickBank stats on each product in the Affiliate Marketplace?

A lot of affiliates don’t know what to do in this area. (See image above.)

The ClickBank stats for each product are not very clear or easy to understand at first, but once you get the hang of them, you’ll be fine.

Let’s go over 4 of them.

Gravity Score

This score shows how many affiliates have been promoting and selling the product in the last 12 weeks.

There are other statistics that are included in the gravity score, but how many affiliates promoting is the main one.

A good gravity means that the product sells, but it also means that there are a lot of other affiliates selling the same product.

If you want to make more money, a high commission per sale is great, but the product has to be right for your niche.

Lower gravity means less competition.

Higher means more competition.

There are pros and cons to each.

And successful marketers will choose one over the other depending on the niche.

Initial $/conversion

This is the average commission you’ll make if you sell one copy of the product. A single sale, to be precise.

This is referring to the commission you will get if you sell the front offer.

Does not include any upsells.

Recurring $/rebill

This is how much you can earn if a customer you refer buys a subscription product with recurring payments.

Avg $/conversion

This is the average amount a customer will spend on the front-end sale and any upsell offers.

Some people will buy an upsell, and some won’t.

This number just averages it out.

You have more than enough information to get started with these numbers.

Don’t make things too hard.

Most of the time, the stats just tell you how much money you’ll make and if the product is popular.

Like all statistics, you should take these with a grain of salt and know that how much you earn will ultimately depend on how hard you work.

So, the statistics are a good way to get an idea of what the product is like, but they’re not the point.

This article should give you more than enough information to get you going as an affiliate for ClickBank.
